November is the month to give thanks…..

muralAs 2015 draws to a close and Thanksgiving is running up on us at a high rate of speed it seems as though now is the proper time for reflection on the past year.  As a company we have had a great year to be thankful for, it has nothing to do with being profitable yet everything to do with things we accomplished as a team.  First and foremost our employees, we are thankful for the group that we have currently in place.  This team is loyal and has integrity, they are proud of the work they do and the standards of quality they hold themselves to.  This has been a year where safety was brought to the forefront by our group and there was more than effort that was put forward there was a true pride in what they together accomplished. We had several of our team members come together and mentor high school kids in various construction programs this year, we have never been more proud. We completely realize that without the proper people in place it is difficult for a company to be successful, we have a phenomenal team.  Our homebuilders and general contractors allowed us to be a part of some amazing projects this year, it is truly an honor to watch the skylines in Alaska change and know that we are a part of it.  Thank you to the homeowners that trust us with their homes, we understand  it is a major decision on your part to pick the companies that will work on your greatest investment.  As a company we received several amazing awards this year from our manufacturer’s, the Firestone Partner in Quality Award, Carlisle “500” Hall of Fame Award and we were also accepted into the Malarkey Certified Residential Contractor program.  These are prestigious awards in the roofing communities and are proud that our teams hard work is showing in so many different ways. Rain Proof supports some of the most amazing organizations that do great things across the state of Alaska, not only from a business standpoint but also on a community level. The Anchorage Homebuilders Association who is currently running their Shoebox program for elementary school students, this program provides backpack’s full of goodies to children throughout Anchorage schools that have been identified as being in need. Camp Fire Alaska is a great organization that fully devotes themselves to Alaska’s youth, our favorite program they run is the Rural program.  This program sends camp to the Alaska villages throughout the summer months, camp teaches the kids in the villages about cold water safety, proper nutrition & life skills.  Alaskan’s are definitely a special group of people with an amazing sense of community, this holiday season amidst all of the hustle & bustle take a moment to truly look at what lies around you and be thankful for there is always something to be thankful for.
